Messinia is prefecture of Greece that is found in south-western Peloponnese.

Mountains

The taller mountain is Taygetos (2404 m., top Prophet [Ilias]), which it is shared with Lakonia and which the chain of is continued with other tall tops to north-westernly. In the north-eastern borders with Arkadia and in small distance from [Andritsaina] of Ilia is found [Lykaio] (1420 m.). In the northern borders with Ilia is found [Tetrazio].
